　　（注：歌词中的“It`s the same old theme since 1916 ”是指1916年，爱尔兰人民为抗议英国政府拖延实施1914年议会通过的“爱尔兰自治法”，于4月24日在都柏林“复活节起义”。4月30日，起义遭英军镇压，几百人被捕，起义领导人几乎全部被杀。这标志着近代爱尔兰人民统一全爱尔兰斗争的开始）
